Malika's Gift Guide

A round-up of some of my favourite Bazaar gifts for the people I love. Each one is inspired by a dear friend. Yes, they’ll probably recognise themselves.

  • One object you would stare at all day?

The Chá Pot. These hues feel so pleasing to my brain. The story behind the brand is as beautiful as the object.

  •  One object you would lend?

My Multi Stripe towels to the occasional house guest. Is that even considered lending?

  •  One object you would share?

This minimal deck of cards by David Genco. 1 deck, many games.

  • One object that would make you a grown up?

This swanky card case in gold. My cards are literally all over the place. Pockets, drawers, jacket linings...

  • One object that would please your inner child?

The furniture handles of colour lovers Desiva. Push and pull joy.

  • One object that makes you laugh out loud?

This giant Banana from Donna Wilson. So over the top, yet so fun. Giant fruits tend to have that effect on me.

  • One motivational object?

This ring. Elegant, perfectly rude, and better than a post-iton my fridge.

  • One object you would buy in multiples?

The Conway trainers.I already went through many many pairs over the years. Like walking on colourful clouds.

  • One object you would use everyday?

The best wine key from Craighill. You can take the French out of the country but…

  • One object you would never dare using?

The glass Sofa Candy table by studio Berg. I might need to build a pillow fort around it.

  • One object you would lock away in a safe?

This glass hand-beaded sweater by Cindy Kutikova. Precious craft.

  • One object that could accidentally start an entire collection?

Any of Marylou´s figurines. I started with 1, then 2, then 3… her pink ladies are spread all over my flat now.

  • One object youwould put on your will?

The Trace Rug by Kristine Five Melvær for Volver. I can´t explain why but this rug speaks to me on a deeper level.
