The Olivetti Valentine, designed by Ettore Sottsass and Perry A. King in 1969, is the typewriter that escaped the office. With its bold red shell and portable build, it was conceived as a design-forward alternative to the grey machines of the day — meant for kitchens, cafés, dorm rooms, anywhere but the desk.
