Jubilee LEGO Brick in 585 Yellow Gold with Original Case and Accompanying Letter from LEGO GmbH, 1986 Solid 2×4-stud brick in original size, 585 yellow gold, hallmarked on the side. Eight cylindrical studs on top, underside with three tubes in classic LEGO construction. In associated blue plastic case with blue velvet lining and embossed LEGO company logo on the lid interior. With the original accompanying letter from LEGO GmbH, executive management Hohenwestedt, dated October 1986, signed by Dr Gerd Balke (Managing Director) and Hilmar Scheinpflug, on the occasion of a 20-year service anniversary. Minor storage marks, slight patina. 15.9×31.7×11.4 mm (brick), Wt. 25.4 g.
Gold LEGO bricks in 585 yellow gold were presented by LEGO GmbH in Hohenwestedt as anniversary gifts to long-serving employees. The present example is documented by the enclosed letter from the executive management dated October 1986, presented on the occasion of a 20-year service anniversary. The total number of pieces produced is estimated at a few dozen.
