Veil rug

Like many good stories, this rug collection by Kristine Five Melvær for Volver is told in three acts.

Veil begins with childhood, inspired by layers of coloured silk paper overlapping, echoing how early experiences shape us. Imprint moves to the people we meet along the way, with abstract symbols representing loved ones and encounters. Trace looks back through past generations, turning ancestry into a map of symbols.
