Working between a Bangalore workshop and a London studio, Tiipoi was founded in 2013 by Bangalore-born, Central Saint Martins-trained Spandana Gopal, who grew up watching her grandmother's pantry shelves hold rows of ceramic barnis, brass pourers and aluminium jars with no designer's name attached. Made in collaboration with Indian craftsmen and women across the country, and with artists including Kangan Arora and Moe Redish, the brand makes cookware, storage vessels and textiles that celebrates the beauty of Indian heritage.
